Israelis, Palestinians and American Evangelicals

Dear American Evangelical,

i am a devoted theologian and bondslave of the Lord Jesus Christ; there is no Scripture that obligates me to support a Jewish state that has rejected Christ as its Rightful King, God, Lord and Savior. While i pray for the Salvation of Israel (which is no different from my own Salvation) i also pray for the rights of Palestinians (Christian and Muslim) who have suffered decades of apartheid at the hands of Israelis. I bless Israel…i do not bless Israel’s sins, which are--regrettably--similar to those of the United States.

If the State of Israel had acknowledged the Lord Jesus Christ as its Rightful Monarch (an action not at all far fetched considering the fact that Christ did indeed physically rise from the dead and is the only viable Heir to David's Throne) it would have taken an entirely different approach to its Palestinian citizens... as it is written:

“And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him. But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.”
‭‭-- Leviticus‬ ‭19‬:‭33‬-‭34‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Indeed: if the United States government had treated its native indigenous, black, Caribbean, Latino and Japanese citizens as true equals, the phrase "UNITED States" would have taken on new and glorious meaning.

Such flights of fancy are pointless, i guess...

...the fact remains: the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Israel are inextricably linked; one being a subset of the Other (the gates of the New Jerusalem are named for the twelve tribes of Israel [Revelation 21:12]).

It should be stated, however, that the Kingdom of Israel and the modern State of Israel are NOT the same. The Kingdom of Israel is ruled by Christ; the modern State of Israel is ruled by men who have rejected Christ's Divine Authority. The Kingdom of Israel loves its Palestinian citizens, and would see them enjoy all the rights and privileges its Salvation provides; the modern State of Israel treats its Palestinian citizens worse than one would treat his pet dog. The Kingdom of Israel opens its Door of Citizenship to every nation, tribe, tongue and people; the modern State of Israel has a vision that is far too narrow and blind.

Though i continue to mourn over and pray for the modern State of Israel, i do not despair; for the Messiah Himself shall descend from Heaven quite alive and corporeal...clothed with Overwhelming Power, Strength and Glory. At that Time the modern State of Israel, along with all other nations of the Earth shall become the kingdoms of our LORD and of His Messiah...

...and He SHALL reign for ever and ever.

Amen.
