Introduction
This poem began as a series of social media posts...enjoy!
Prayer: The First Door
The First Door of Prayer is Surrender, submission and sacrifice
Christ dominates every place He dwells in
The True Path to freedom is under Christ's Lordship
“Lord" means "Owner"
To be a vessel of Jesus' Power is IMPOSSIBLE
Without submitting to His Authority.
No longer just an Advisor,
Christ takes control of my entire life!
Prayer: The Second Door
The Second Door of Prayer is WORSHIP
Worship is not what we think It is
Worship is NOT flattering GOD
Worship is becoming NOTHING
That GOD may FILL me with Christ's EVERYTHING!
Prayer: The Third Door
The Third Door of Prayer is FOCUS
The sinner has but one focus: self
I ALWAYS have GOD'S Attention
But He doesn't always have mine.
What would happen, however, if
Christ and I were ALWAYS focused
On each other?
How GLORIOUS!!!
Prayer: The Fourth Door
The Fourth Door of Prayer is PEACE.
Transcendent Peace
Perfect Peace
Priceless Peace
The Peace that has existed before
The angels were birthed.
Do not allow anyone or anything
To disturb or remove This Shield
From your heart!
Prayer: The Fifth Door
The Fifth Door of Prayer is FASTING
Far too many believers are
CONTROLLED by their appetites
Rather than BEING in control of themselves.
Sugar and salt addictions can be
BROKEN by Fasting.
Dopamine addiction, anxiety and depression can be
BROKEN by Fasting.
GOD gives me MASTERY over my princedom
When I practice Fasting.
Prayer: The Sixth Door
The 6th Door of Prayer is The FIRE
The FIRE Who Lights The Seven Lamps
Which have stood before the
Throne of All Might for all ages
Who purges the heart from all dross
And fills it with LOVE that fails not
FAITH that knows though it may not see
And Hope which does not wane with time
He turns the heart into a Temple of GLORY.
Prayer: The Seventh Door
The Seventh Door of Prayer is The Master's Voice
It's obvious that GOD has a Plan
What's not so obvious is my place in It
The excitement lies in walking with Christ
Hour by hour, moment by moment
PAYING ATTENTION to His Eyes and Movements
Obeying His Voice with the expectation
Of seeing Him do something REALLY COOL
Through me!
