The Secret to the EASY, Victorious Life

This is the sermon i intended to give on 25-May-2025; it is presented here for those who may be interested in it's content. No doubt it will be delivered to an audience in the future.

I. Primary Scripture

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that Grace may abound? "God forbid. How shall we, that are DEAD to sin, live any longer therein? "Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into His Death? "Therefore we are BURIED with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was RAISED UP from the dead by the Glory of The Father, even so WE ALSO should walk in NEWNESS OF LIFE! "For if we have been PLANTED TOGETHER in the LIKENESS of His Death, we shall be [harvested] also in the LIKENESS of His Resurrection: "KNOWING this, that our old man IS CRUCITIFED with Him, that the body of sin might be DESTROYED, that henceforth [from now on] we should NOT serve sin. "For HE THAT IS DEAD is FREED FROM SIN!!!” -- The Apostle Paul, Romans 6:1-7

II. Central Idea

In the next 15 minutes I am going to share with you THE SECRET to the EASY, Victorious Life in Christ.

I say "EASY" because that is the word Our Lord Jesus used in Matthew 11:30 when He said

"My Yoke is EASY and My Burden is light."

If going to Heaven with Jesus is so Easy, why do we have over 200 "Christian" denominations in the U.S. alone and over 45,000 Christian sects world-wide, all claiming their version of the Gospel is the correct one?

Dear Believer, do you understand The Gospel well enough to explain it to a 10-year-old?

Is your faith in the Gospel strong enough to profess with absolute confidence that you KNOW you're going to Heaven?

In the next few moments I'm going to to show you with CLARITY AND SIMPLICITY your part in GOD's Plan of Salvation.

So...without further delay, here is your part in living The EASY, Victorious Life in Jesus Christ:

NOTHING.

YOUR PART IS NOTHING.

YOUR PART in GOD's Plan of Salvation IS to

BE NOTHING, DO NOTHING, and HAVE NOTHING.

That's what death is, isn't it?

My part in the Plan of Salvation is to DIE, that The Lord Jesus Christ may live His Life in me.

Yet here is THE SECRET: JESUS HAS ALREADY DONE MY "DYING" FOR ME!!!

I use the FAITH that GOD gave me to agree with GOD by identifying myself with Jesus' Death through BAPTISM!!!

"For the LOVE of Christ constraineth [drives] us; because we thus judge [we have drawn the following conclusion]: that if One DIED for all, then WERE ALL DEAD!!!" -- The Apostle Paul, 2nd Corinthians 5:14

III. First Adam to Last Adam

How many of you here exist because YOU DECIDED TO EXIST?

Nobody? That's correct.

Through NO CHOICE OF YOUR OWN you were born into the First Adam, who DIED TO GOD (became spiritually dead...and eventually physically dead) due to a single act of disobedience: eating from GOD'S Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Believe me, my Friend: YOU DO NOT WANT TO FACE GOD'S JUDGEMENT

WITHOUT AN ADVOCATE!!!

Every sin of thought, word or deed will become a matter of PUBLIC RECORD (Luke 12:2).

And your punishment, once begun, WILL NOT STOP...EVER.

The challenge to GOD was to figure out a way to get you and i OUT of the First Adam, and the inescapable Judgement that follows!

So what did GOD do???

GOD introduced His Own "Adam" (Jesus Christ) into the world.

The Last Adam succeeded in EVERY endeavor that the First Adam failed, being TOTALLY OBEDIENT to GOD The Father.

Then the Last Adam bore BOTH all of the sins AND SIN NATURE of the First Adam (and his offspring),

suffered their [our] punishment and died their [our] death!

But WAIT...there's MORE...

IIIa. The Tomb, The Resurrection & The Ascension

If our Salvation stopped at The Cross of Jesus Christ (which is our Cross as well), and Jesus never PHYSICALLY rose from the dead, sure: all of our sins (past, present and future) would be atoned for...

...but NOT FORGIVEN (ATONEMENT ONLY COVERS SIN...FORGIVENESS takes sin away COMPLETELY [John 1:29]).

If Jesus never rose from the dead, we would NOT have the Power to live a sinless life on Earth,

NOR would we be allowed to return to Heaven!!!!

IIIa1. The Tomb

On The Cross Jesus wrapped Himself in our sin. In the Tomb JESUS DESTROYED OUR ABILITY TO SIN.

“Brother Calvin, I sin every day!"

Yes, my friend: I know you sin every day.

You sin because no one taught you to receive by Faith the TRUTH of Romans 6:6:

"KNOWING this, that our old man IS CRUCIFIED with Him, that the body of sin might be DESTROYED, that henceforth [from now on] we should NOT serve sin." -- The Apostle Paul, Romans 6:6

During the three days and nights Christ's Body spent in that Tomb,

His Soul was 3 days and nights in "the Heart of the Earth":

"...for as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of Man [Adam] be three days and three nights in the Heart of the Earth." -- Jesus Christ, Matthew 12:40 KJV

The Heart of the Earth?!? What was Jesus DOING down there??????

We are only told of TWO ACTS of Jesus while He was in the Heart of the Earth:

By the Power of the Holy Spirit He went and preached to the spirits which were in prison due to their disobedience in the time of Noah (1 Peter 3:18-20).
Christ secured authority over death and the places of the dead (Hades):

"I AM He that liveth, and *was* dead; and, behold, I AM alive FOR EVERMORE, Amen; and have the keys of Hell [Hades] and of Death." --Jesus Christ, Revelation 1:18

Fellow Believer: Jesus the Messiah SECURED the Keys of Death and Hades;

not only to ensure His Resurrection, but YOURS AS WELL!!!

If Sin was still a problem, Christ's Resurrection WOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED (1st Corinthians 15:16-19).

IIIa2. The Resurrection

Yet Christ DID rise PHYSICALLY from the dead.

(Deep breath)...

...the Physical Resurrection of The Lord Jesus Christ from the dead is the GREATEST SINGLE DISPLAY OF DIVINE POWER...EVER...

...greater than the Creation of the Cosmos.

It came this close to breaking the very fabric of Space, Matter and Time.

It was SO POWERFUL...the power of Death was so BROKEN, dead people who were NOT Jesus came out of their graves PHYSICALLY, went into Jerusalem, and "appeared" to many (Matthew 27:50-53 KJV)!

The implication is that when Jesus returned to Heaven, He took those who shared in His Resurrection with Him (Ephesians 4:8)!!!

(tears) My Beloved...you who have placed ALL your Faith upon the Name of Jesus Christ:

you have NO IDEA of the POWER that lives within you...NO CLUE!!!!

The whole POINT of Prayer is to practice RELEASING That Power into

your life, your family, your friends, your community, your employer,

your government as well as the principalities and powers that dwell

in the atmosphere and are seeking to destroy you and everything you love!

LET HIM OUT. LET HIM LOOSE.

Give the Holy Spirit of Christ LORDSHIP

over everything you are

everything you do

and everything you have...

...and see what happens!

IIIa3. The Ascension

There is a Psalm that describes the Arrival of your Savior at the Gates of Eternity after He left the Earth:

Lift up your Heads, O ye Gates; And be ye lift up, ye Everlasting Doors; And the KING OF GLORY shall come in. Who is this "King of Glory"? The LORD Strong and Mighty, The LORD Mighty in battle. Lift up your Heads, O ye Gates; And be ye lift up, ye Everlasting Doors; And the KING OF GLORY shall come in. Who is this King of Glory? The LORD of hosts [all the armies of Heaven], HE IS THE KING OF GLORY!!!! Selah! -- King David, Psalm 24:7-10 KJV

After 33 years of exile, GOD The Word stood before GOD The Father.

And in the Human Body of GOD The Word stood every believer in this room!!!!

And when GOD The Word reclothed Himself with ALL OF THE DEITY He had laid down

to be with us, and sat down at the Right Hand of GOD The Father,

in the Human Body of GOD The Word sat every believer in this room!!!!

The Work of the Lord Jesus Christ is COMPLETED...

and SO IS YOURS!!!!!!

For he | she that is entered into His [GOD's] Rest, he | she also HAS CEASED FROM HIS | HER OWN WORKS, as God did from His. -- Hebrews 4:10 KJV

"For by One Offering HE HATH PERFECTED FOR EVER them that are sanctified." -- Hebrews 10:14 KJV

Your Salvation, Beloved Child of God, is COMPLETE...

...there's nothing left for you to do but enjoy The Life of Christ…

…on this Earth…

…BY FAITH!
