LET ME BE CLEAR: I am NOT talking about Saturday…I’m talking about CHRIST and the GOSPEL which grants us THE SAME REST AND PEACE THE GODHEAD HAS!!!!
Genesis 1:31 to 2:3
After the Seventh Day GOD NEVER WENT BACK TO WORK!!!!!!!!
In ALL of the BIBLE we NEVER see GOD working again till JESUS’ INCARNATION and MINISTRY:
John 5:15&16 - “And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day. But Jesus answered them, MY FATHER WORKS hitherto, and I WORK.”
When GOD is at work, the saint has ONE TASK, and ONE TASK ONLY: to BELIEVE FROM THE HEART!
John 6:28&29 - “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that YE BELIEVE ON HIM WHOM HE HATH SENT.”
FAITH in Jesus Christ brings REST…the EXACT SAME SABBATH REST GOD ENJOYS!!!
Romans 5:1 - “Therefore being justified by FAITH, we have PEACE [along] with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Jesus not only completed the work The Father gave Him to do and offered Himself as the Propitiation (appeasement) of The Father’s Wrath against our sins, JESUS CHRIST COMPLETED OUR WORK AS WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
John 3:21 - “But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that HIS WORKS HAVE BEEN CARRIED OUT IN GOD.”
Ephesians 2:20 - “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, WHICH GOD PREPARED BEFOREHAND, that we should walk in them.”
John 14:12 - ““Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I do; and GREATER WORKS THAN THESE will he do, because I am going to the Father [returning to The Father’s Sabbath Rest].”
Hebrews 4:9&10 - “So then, there remains a SABBATH REST for the people of God, for whoever has entered God’s Rest HAS ALSO RESTED FROM HIS OWN WORKS…as God did from his.”
Galatians 2:19-21 - “For I through the law AM DEAD TO THE LAW, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but CHRIST LIVETH IN ME: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live BY THE FAITH OF THE SON OF GOD, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”
Amen.
Bring our works to an end, Blessed Father, that The Glory of Your Precious Son may be made manifest in us!
