The Narrow Way (Part 24): Full Assurance

The Law of Doubt

As stated in my book "IMMUNITY to the Lake of Fire: a No-Nonsense Guide" religion has declared the doctrine of Full Assurance (Once Saved, Always Saved) to not only be a heresy, but an unforgivable sin (Council of Trent, Sixth Session, Chapter XVI, Canons on Justification). That is to say: Doubt itself, the sworn enemy of Faith (Matthew 14:31; James 1:5-8), is adopted by institutionalized religion as both critical and necessary.

Gadzooks! What am i missing here? How can i walk with Jesus in full assurance of Faith if He can't even guarantee the completion of the Good Work our Heavenly Father began in me? Our GOD is...

MIGHTY TO SAVE!

“And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the Day of Jesus Christ.” ‭‭-- Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” ‭‭-- Hebrews‬ ‭6‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living Way that He opened for us through the curtain, that is, through His Flesh, and since we have a Great Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He Who promised is faithful.” ‭‭-- Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭19‬-‭23‬ ‭ESV‬‬

What a marvelous contrast to the weak religion proclaimed from so many of our pulpits! And mark me, Dear Reader, the Holy men who wrote the New Testament grow even bolder:

“Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of Another? It is before his own Master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.” ‭‭-- the Apostle Paul, Romans‬ ‭14‬:‭4‬ ‭ESV‬‬
“Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the Power that worketh in us,” ‭‭-- the Apostle Paul, Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭20‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“...but this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the Right Hand of God; from henceforth expecting till His enemies be made His footstool. For by one offering He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.” ‭‭-- Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭12‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the Presence of His Glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.” ‭‭-- Jude‬ ‭1‬:‭24‬-‭25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

HALLELUJAH! HALLELUJAH!! HALLELUJAH!!! What kind of a GOD is this, Who takes the dust of the Earth (from which our ancestor Adam was created) and raises it to His Throne?!?!?! What other Savior is there Who would punish Himself for our sins and guarantee our redemption with such great and precious promises that only a coward would dare to contest?!?!?!

I have not referred to half the Scriptures listed in Part One of this series that declare the truth of Once Saved, Always Saved; yet i will pen a few more thoughts i pray will help you to throw off the shackles of religion, doubt and failure and put on Christ, making no more provisions for fulfilling the lusts of the flesh!

Heavenly Reason

False Christians LOVE to inject their “wisdom” into the Gospel; nowhere does this happen more than in the American church.

From the earliest days of the church after the Apostles had passed on, unsaved religious folk (many of whom had been attending synagogue and church all their lives) had “come into the faith” dragging their pagan, national, cultural and ethnic values in with themselves. This violates Christ’s command “whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be My disciple.” (Luke 14:33) A sizable portion of the New Testament is devoted to warning against this, knowing that it would CORRUPT the Gospel (Once Saved, Always Saved).

The NUMBER ONE heresy propagated in the American church today is “I am a good person; I am good enough to be saved.” (Romans 3:9-20).

Of course i believe in Once Saved, Always Saved; the fact that you don’t believe demonstrates your ignorance of both the Holy Scriptures and the Power of GOD (Matthew 22:29).

We are NOT saved because we checked off all the boxes telling us what to say and what to do; we are saved because when we were royally and eternally SCREWED, GOD took PITY on our wicked evil miserable souls (Ephesians 2:4-10)!

You can’t have your cake and eat it too; either you’re saved due to something YOU did, or you’re saved because you trusted from your heart in what GOD did…you can’t have it both ways. If you’re saved based on what GOD did, then Once Saved, Always Saved is the ONLY possibility.

Salvation is a MIRACLE; Salvation is an Act of GOD performed on the sinner…not through the agency of the sinner but through the Agency of Christ Who took the sinner’s place in the Winepress of GOD’s Wrath (Ephesians 2:8,9). When the sinner becomes the focus of sanctification instead of Christ, the Gospel is PERVERTED and the Power of GOD to PERFECT the sinner is THWARTED (Romans 11:5,6).

The Perfected Version of the saved sinner exists in Christ (Colossians 3:3,4)…it has ALWAYS been in Christ from before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4-6). If our Salvation was determined before we were created, how is Once Saved, Always Saved NOT true???

Who decided that you were going to be saved? If you point to yourself, read John 15:16: “You did not choose Me, but I chose you.” Either you’re calling Jesus a liar, or your salvation is something different from what was given to the apostles. Jesus doesn’t lie, so Once Saved, Always Saved must be the truth.

It's up to you, Dear Reader, to decide which path you are going to walk: either the broad and popular path of religion with its human wisdom, doubt and failure... or the Narrow Way filled with the Light of the Divine Presence, an unwavering trust in Christ Jesus and a growing Faith which believes GOD is more than able to finish what He began in you!

In Part Twenty-Five we will explore the Baptism in The Holy Spirit of GOD!
